Mark student absence
When to use this procedure
Follow the steps below to indicate a student did not attend class. The absence may be excused or unexcused depending on how the absence reasons were established.
Steps to complete
Prerequisites: You must establish at least one absence reason before completing this procedure.
- On the Scheduling window, right-click a class and click Add Absence. The Create Absence Record window displays.
- Select the absent student in the Student box.
- Select the first day of the student's absence in the left-hand Date Range box and the last day of the student's absence in the right-hand Date Range box.
- Select a reason for the student's absence in the drop-down box.
- Click OK.
